Welcome to our Fundraising Information Page
Like any other non-profit organization we try hard to keep our registration fees manageable. As such, the fees that we charge do not quite cover the costs of the programs. Therefore we have asked that each family commit to fundraising on behalf of their skater.
We use a fundraising point system which offers families options and flexibility.
💰Fundraising Commitment
JumpStart, Junior, Intermediate & Senior Skate
Families with skaters registered in JumpStart, Junior, Intermediate, or Senior (StarSkate) programs are required to participate in the Club's fundraising program.
- A $300 fundraising deposit is required for each registered skater.
- One post-dated cheque for $300 per skater, dated April 1, 2027, must be submitted to a Board Member on the first day of skating.
- Multiple fundraising opportunities will be offered throughout the season, allowing families to choose how they wish to fulfill their commitment.
- Immediate families with more than three registered skaters have a maximum fundraising requirement of $600 (60 fundraising points) per season.
- Information regarding each season's fundraising opportunities will be provided at the beginning of the skating year.
- Once fundraising commitments have been verified, all cheques will be securely destroyed. Families wishing to have their cheque returned instead must contact the Club President at president@devonskating.com before April 1, 2027.
- Families who do not fulfill their fundraising commitment will have their cheque deposited following the completion of the final fundraiser. Cheques may be deposited as early as April 1, 2027.
- Families who prefer not to participate in fundraising may notify the Fundraising Coordinator by email at fundraisingcoordinator@devonskating.com. Their cheque will be retained for deposit at the end of the season, and they will be excluded from fundraising communications.
👗KidSkate and CanSkate
- There is no fundraising requirement for families registered exclusively in KidSkate or CanSkate.
- Fundraising is optional! Families who choose to participate can earn credits to help offset their registration costs.
🎯Short on Points?
Don't worry if you haven't quite reached your required points by the end of the skating season! Any remaining points needed to meet your requirement can be purchased for $10 per point.
